A veteran in representing insured's for more than 20 years, Ms. Jackson's experience in litigation against insurance companies includes complex insurance coverage issues, including coverage under first- and third-party policies, D&O insurance, E&O insurance and pollution liability insurance.  Ms. Jackson's depth of knowledge is gained from years of litigating in both state and federal court.  When not practicing law, Ms. Jackson is an avid pianist.

Representative Case Examples

Negotiated settlement of coverage litigation seeking indemnification under a D&O policy for a shareholders derivative suit.

Represented insured in an arbitration in which the insurer sought reimbursement of amounts paid to settle a professional liability claim on grounds that there was no coverage under the policy because the insured's acts that gave rise to the liability claim were not professional services within the meaning of the policy.  The arbitrators ruled unanimously that the insured's acts were covered.

Obtained coverage for class action lawsuit under personal injury provisions of liability coverage.

Negotiated settlement for full policy limits for water contamination claims.
